The Orange Community Historical Society offers visitors a peek into Old Towne’s history with its popular walking tours, which lead through the heart of Old Towne Orange, from the historic Ainsworth House near City Hall, north through the Plaza, to the depot, and then south through the Plaza.
Trained docents share the story of how Orange came to be, the significance of some of its downtown public buildings (like the old opera house and the theater), and the fascinating evolution of Orange, once a small town known as Richland.
